Most reptiles and amphibians require daily misting or spraying, but using tap water straight from the pipe can be harmful. The chemical treatments of tap water, which make it suitable for human consumption, leave toxic residues of chlorine and chloramines in the water. These residues, along with minute traces of toxic metals, make it unsafe to reptiles and amphibians. Always treat tap water with Mistimize misting water conditioner before misting it into the terrarium. Unlike other water conditioners containing herbal extracts, Mistimize will not interfere with proper functioning of certain reptile's complex prehensile toe and tail structures (e.g. Geckos and Anoles) when sprayed on the dwelling surfaces.
