Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 UVB Bulb provides necessary UVB which enables reptiles to maintain healthy levels of calcium and vitamin D3, thus preventing or reversing metabolic bone disease. Up to 15% total energy output in the UVA wavelengths which helps to increase appetite, activity, and induce reproductive behavior in captive lizards, turtles, tortoises and some amphibians. Also provides an effective UVB source without providing excess heat. Great for old world chameleons and other reptiles requiring increased UVB exposure without higher temperatures. This ReptiSun 10.0, 30 watt, fluorescent light allows UVB assisted conversion up to 20" from the lamp's surface, compared to 12" on the ReptiSun 5.0. Ideal for use with all larger terrariums where greater than 12" of UVB penetration is needed and if placing your lamp above a screen top (screen filters out up to 50% of the UVB wavelength).
